Your Senator, Debbie Stabenow, needs to hear from you. On
March 15th, Congress’s extension of the Federal Farm Bill expires,
along with vital funding for conservation programs that help protect
important habitat for swift foxes and other unique and imperiled
    wildlife.

As one of a handful of lawmakers who has been selected to work out
the final details of a new Farm Bill, Debbie Stabenow is one of the few
people in America who can help ensure that wildlife -- and farmers and
ranchers who work to protect it -- get a fair shake in the Farm Bill.

Urge your Senator to help protect swift foxes and other
animals. Lawmakers are close to striking a deal on this bill, and
funding for wildlife is on the chopping block! Call Senator Stabenow
now at one of the numbers below:

    • East Lansing: (517) 203-1760
    • Washington, DC: (202) 224-4822

Many lawmakers have returned to their home districts for
the week. It is a great time to contact local offices and make your
    voice heard.

Once you’ve been connected to Senator Stabenow’s office, just deliver this message:

    • My name is Lynne Farkas and I am calling from Imlay City to urge
Senator Stabenow to support critical conservation programs in the final
      Farm Bill.
    • Please work to:
      • Secure a $5 billion increase over the next five
years for conservation programs that improve water quality, reduce soil
erosion, and protect habitat.  This funding will continue all programs
and begin to meet farmer demand for these popular programs.
      • Promote strategic conservation investments by linking federal programs to the goals outlined in conservation plans, like the State Wildlife Action Plans.
      • Ensure riparian areas in the arid southwest are eligible for the Wetlands Reserve Program, protecting Southwestern Willow Flycatchers and other animals that rely on these special ecosystems.
      • Provide ranchers and farmers with funding for proactive predator deterrence methods, such as range riders and fencing, to prevent livestock-predator conflicts.

Important: Please let us know that you called. Your feedback will help shape our strategies on Capitol Hill to save wildlife.

The Farm Bill is a vital source of resources for programs to save
animals like swift foxes, which face habitat loss and other threats.
Through funding in the Farm Bill, farmers and ranchers will have
real incentives to protect habitat for imperiled species.

Help protect swift foxes and other wildlife by calling
your Senator today. Lawmakers could strike a deal within hours on this
important issue. Please call Senator Stabenow now at one of the numbers
    below:

  • East Lansing: (517) 203-1760
  • Washington, DC: (202) 224-4822
  • Fully funding conservation programs in the Farm Bill is important for farmers, ranchers… and wildlife. But only you can make the call to ensure that vital resources to protect wildlife are included in the final Farm Bill.

    Please call today…

    Best Regards,
